CHIPS OR NO CHIPS

For ages, we have been wondering whether serving our delicious, fresh cut chicken salt fries alongside every burger is the right thing to do.

We've served all burgers that way since 2021.

We love that it brings value because you get the complete meal,

it shows off our labour of love of crafting chips from scratch every day AND who doesn't love burgs and chips ammiright?

but...

But getting chips forced upon you istoo much for say;

- a lunchtime treat,

- "the 2 burgers with a fries to share" couple,

or

- the protein fiend, amongst others.

We would notice plates with full, untouched portions of chips go back to the kitchen.

And it's not that they weren't enjoyed, it's just that over time we realised that some people just want a burger or 2, or three

and are quite happy to skip the chips.

And that's really our gripe...

choice.

It should be up to you to create the feast you want.

If you don't want chips, don't have them.

And for those that do want the choice, having chips on your plate that you know you won't eat reduces the value proposition.

If you want a burger and some tenders or wings to load up on protein but want to skip the carbs, and you know that chips are coming as standard, you're going to feel ripped off.

Or even if you just want a burger as a a snack at lunch.

So, what have we done?...

We put it to a public vote to see what the general consensus was.

And over 60% of replies came back in favour of optional chips.

We knew we had to make the change so that we put the choice back in your hands.

But we also had to retain the value aspect of the burgers coming as standard.

That was the main concern of the 40% that liked the way we serve fries with every burger.

Most, if not all burger joints, that have chips priced separately, charge upwards of £4 to add them to your burger.

We don't feel that this is right. We want to do it a bit differently.

So...

We've lowered our burger prices accordingly and then you can "make it a meal again" by adding adding the little crispy pieces

of golden fried joy to any burger for just £1.95.

As well as

🍔 reducing the burger prices,

we've also lowered our prices on;

🍟 chicken kyiv fries,

🍟 chicken louisiana fries,

🍺 pints of beer,

🥤 soft drinks, and

🍹 some cocktails.

And most other things on our menu like mac & cheese, chicken tenders, cheese louisiana fries and poutine fries are still the same price as before.

Times are tough at the moment and we realise that and we want to do everything we can to make your outrageous burger fix affordable and on your terms.

So, without further ado… feast your eyes on our new Eat the bird menu.
